Piece by piece I'm slowly getting there, but how can I get this gaiter off without cutting it up?

ah , thought it was some how wired up for the reverse. Is it just a screw on one then.

Yeah knob just pulls offThumbs up

Then reverse lift up cable needs to be unhooked from the lift up mechWink

Give twists left to right while slowly pulling up is the way I've removed most of mine without any deep throat near misses with a 6 speed knob.

Usually takes about 5 or 6 turns.
