I know this has been asked to death already, but where can I get ones that ACTUALLY spray onto the windscreen of a 306? The last lot I picked up literally spray below the wipers, they're completely f**king useless and I've tried putting a wedge underneath to aim them higher, but they're still useless. Are there any that will work even remotely well on a phase 1?

[edit] Sod the mist jets, title changed because I can.

I used 6438V8 for my P3 and they spray perfectly.

EDIT: I see my fail. f**k the P1 bonnet off and buy a P3 in a different colour. Cheaper than trial and error with washer jets and looks totally not-pikey.

Yeah that's the idea, but getting the right ones seems a bit hit & miss, and from what I can gather getting ones that work at all on a phase 1 with the shallower angled bonnet is even harder.

Yeah thought about those but then remembered how prone to blocking the ones on my mum's BX were (presumably the same as the 405 ones). I dind't want to leave holes in teh bonnet (I'd be too lazy to fill them) plus I don't like things that look functional, but don't function - fake pockets on jackets, painted on "second" counters on cheap watches, bonnet mounted washer jets that don't do anything.

tldr: f**k it, bought some standard twin nozzle jobbies instead. Big grin

Meh, ordered some nozzies now anyway. £5 posted for a pair. Peugeot wanted that much each.

Actually, talking of washers and stuff, does the rear washer on the P1 use the same reservoir as the fonts? IIRC my P2.5 only had the one tank, but on this I get a strange issue where the rear washer on the arm will jet out any rain water that has collected in the nozzle, but won't squirt through anything else. Suggests to me that it's pumping something so all the pipework is connected right, but there's a 2nd reservoir somewhere that's run dry, only I can't find one!

no second res, probably blocked, pull the nozzle off the end of the spindle and try again.

Sorry, yeah that's what I meant, I've taken the actual twin spray nozzled off and it'll jet backwards any standing water in the pipes, but doesn't seem to be picking anything up.

i had a rear washer that didnt work. pulled the pipe off n pressed washer arm to check pipe wasnt blocked and that was fine.then resorted to small piece of rigid wire n dug it down into rear wiper stub(after removing the cap with jets in first) and after much prodding,a load of rust coloured water blew out and it then worked.and still doesThumbs up
as for the front mist jets i bought some of the xsara ones for my ph2 and they hit the wiper,i just use them while the wipers are travelling up the screenSmile

try pulling the pipe off the back of the wiper motor.

then work forwards, I think the next join is in the wheelarch possibly with a one way valve, I have found these tend to block up and go hard with age.

That did the trick, though the nozzle cap itself isn't blocked, it's cracked where it sits against the middle of the wiper arm so it just leaks water everywhere now, so I need a new cap as well! LOL

And Cheers Mei, good to know about that valve should it go tits up again in the near future. Smile
