hi all,i have been looking at the other threads on here but still unsure what i need to changeDunno the problem i have is i have a small amount of play up and down at the top end of the steering column....is this what i need to change or is it the lower coupling as a few people i have spoke to at a peugeot dealers said...am i right in thinking its the column not the couplingDunno

Lay on your back in the footwell and have an assistant move the steering. You can see the column UJ so should see movement if it's that. Otherwise get under the car and call back your assistant and see if the UJ which joins to the rack is moving.

Well i have sorted it......all i had to do was tighten the nut for the steering wheelBig grin which was a good result.....she is all lovely and tight like a virgin...LOL

Tightening the wheel nut, that's worrying. It's not the sort of thing you want coming off in your hands! Laugh

Exactly! Imagine trying to line the splines up to push it back on before the next corner!
