MY BELOVED 306 RALLYE TRACK / RACE CAR
Bianca White

2 Owners from new! 80K miles. In very good condition.
I purchased this car at 6 months old, and previously it was owned by the main Peugeot dealer in Bristol as their demo car! It was my main road car for about 5 years and then in 2005 I started modifying it for track use. I have ALL the receipts, paperwork, MOTs etc.. for this car. Current mileage is around 80K. (At last MOT record was 74K and has actually only done 3 track days since 2005 and not been used on the road!)
However, the car isn't currently running at the moment. I got made redundant late in 2009 and couldn't finish the final couple of parts (Lightweight window kit and new fuel system parts) for the planned final race car conversion and race season in 2010. As a result the car has been sat in storage for the last 3 years with no TLC on it, just gathering dust.
After a several months layoff from work I was working again, but I haven’t had any free time in the last 3 years to dedicate to the project (I now work an average of 60 hours per week) and with a recent new arrival I can’t see this situation changing in the near future. So I have decided (very, very reluctantly), to sell it. The car is road registered, but with the modifications it is not currently road legal, it is for track / race use. You could reverse some of the changes, and make it road legal if you wanted. All the modifications were done to a very high standard by a race preparation / team based in Milton Keynes, who, unfortunately have since gone out of business. My intention with the car was always to get the car race ready with a mass of 875kgs and 180BHP. It is close to the mass (probably on it to be honest) and the engine upgrades were the next stage of the plan!

Last on track pics!

Current Car Faults:
• The car currently has no driver and passenger side door inners or windows (Weight saving mods) and needs the 306 lightweight window kit (available from https://www.Demon-Tweeks.co.uk or a plastic windows specialist), and some carbon fibre sheets made for the door inners. (Or you could get doors from another 306 and put original skins / windows / doors back in).
Example of work left to do here-->

• When the car was last rebuilt (2009) there was a problem with the fuel pump running at an inconsistent rate. This was diagnosed as some corrosion (because the car had been left standing for a while) and essentially the car needs a new Standard Fuel Pump, Fuel Injector rail and 4 new injectors. However, because it’s been standing so long, I’d be inclined to take off the carbs and clean / check this area too (+fuel system emptying and refuelling first!)

• The car has not run / turned over for the 3+ years (Sep 2009) since it has been in storage in my garage, and therefore needs all fluids draining and replacing (Fuel, engine oil, water, plus the brakes checking) and then the engine double checking (it is possible engine may need to be stripped, but just as possible that it is fine, won’t know until fluids replaced and new fuel rail / system fitted!). As a minimum the engine and fuel systems are going to need a full strip down, the replacement fuel system parts fitted and everything cleaned and put back together before attempting to start the car.

• Bonnet has had the under-skin (weight) removed by an idiot and ideally should be replaced (half a dozen small visible bumps where a hammer has hit underside during the skin removal). [Approx £90 if you can source one! This is not essential but would do this if I was running the car again]. Or replace it with a carbon one.

• Driver side wing has a dent from a neighbour’s basketball in it. (Would probably pop out if I tried, but never got round to it).
• For some bizarre reason I can’t find the bonnet Peugeot badge at the moment!
Aside from this, car is exceptional condition for a car of this age, as it has spent most its life in my garage or in race team workshops, and the outstanding issues listed above were all part of the planned updates to the car. I’ve been under the car and checked it today (9th-Dec-2012) and there is some minor surface rust on some parts of the car, but nothing that is not going to come off with just a few minutes work, the shell and body work are in excellent condition.

The AP brakes, and Stack dashboard (and data-logging) are installed in the car, but have NEVER even been run and are as new! Also the Pro Race 1.2 wheels with the hard compound yokohama slick tyres, have never been used either.

Spare wheels / tyres

I’ve spent many, many, many £1,000s on all the modifications and on running this car. The data-logging kit installed in this car is alone worth over £2500!
Good home wanted, with someone who can spend the time and money on her that she deserves, and restore her to her former glory, and not someone who is going to strip it for parts and profit (I could do that if I wanted!)
I’m open to sensible offers. If they aren’t sensible I’ll just store it for another few years!
You will need a trailer to tow this car away if you buy her.
