Needs an oil cooler and make sure the coolant pipes are correctly attached to the heater matrix.

So you should be quicker than an s/c car, especially out of corners. You have a massive amount more torque low down the revs, so controlling it is harder. On track I think the weight and balance would swing it back to the s/c. Down to suspension and driver more than anything.

Everyone always goes on about torque steer but if everything is nice and tight ie mounts, suspension etc ive never had a problem in my other 3.2 V6 i converted into a 2.5 V6 calibra. Getting an LSD in the Gearbox was just mental and well worth the money!

Will see what the setups like round corners once its dry and nice again.

Lovely to drive and fuel eco is very good as ya just driving it on tick over most of the time !

Was the first time tonight since having the car back i could go round a corner with a little speed obviously due to the roads being so wet!

Jesus the grip and turn quickness and tightness was awesome!!

Just removed the bonnet spacers that lifted the rear.

Also removed the open air filter Pug1off fitted which obviously sucks in hot air and it was silly loud under the bonnet with the induction noise.

I put my Viper Induction kit on with air feed to original position down in front of Rad. I might straighten so its direct from front of the car as ive seen others but obviously this comes with mixed views.

Under bonnet noise is nicely refined with the viper and it seem to have a smoother, nicer pull now so all good!

Had some fun with the car of late, the drive shaft inner knuckle of the inner CV joint which broke as shaft shortened at the splines and the knuckle was welded onto the shaft but welds failed.

Took out and got welded a lot better then it was and has held up ok. Hopefully eddy will get around to whipping the shafts out his V6 before he scraps it unless he has already lol otherwise im just going to get a shaft custom made which Ive been speaking to a company about but would set me back a few quid so hope eddy pulls through for me.

Also kept getting a smell of petrol in the car. Had a look and the fuel rail connector was leaking at the clip on end that presses onto fuel rail.

Removed it and because the hose was a bigger bore then the push in part someone had put a thin plastic sleeve over it to make it girthy enough to push in but the sleeve had a slot all the way down so was not a full circle so the fuel was making its way through the sleeve.
All sorted and fixed proper now! seems ya cant take ya car anywhere these days!

Just lucky i know what im doing and sourced the problem otherwise it could of been game over for the car if it caught on fire cause it was trickling somewhat!

I already asked for length, cant see how there could be any difference being that the gearbox is mounted using the same mount position?

Height will be different. Twist (in both dimensions) on the box makes a big difference to the placing of the diff housing.

thinking about it i can see how the height would make a slight difference. Will soon see once i get measurements lol.

Pug1off have kindly offered to redo the shafts but it means i have to source a good pair of original shafts but they all look manky and also fuel getting car back to them and a day off etc so its a lot of hassle for me.

LOL

Got a rear bumper, phase 3 boot which is mint as a little ding on the top and a slight ding around by the boot button. oh and a passengers door to remove a slight crease where someone tried bending it back (previous owner) which will make the car almost ding free lol

just a small scratch on one of the wings and a rear wheel arch has a small bit of paint on the arch edge missing but other then that she coming up very clean.

Got a bit of time today to start putting the dash back together, took me about 2 hours to sort alll the wiring out where it needed to go and used a maintenance sealant round the holes and air duct pipe work just to make sure everything is nicely sealed again.

Before

After

Well finally got my log book back today after declaring the conversion as ive owned for a year but was at pug1off for most of that!

Sent the log book off in Jan only for it to be returned by the DVLA because they will no longer change the log book unless evidence is provided of the conversion being done by a mechanic and also proof of the CC

Sent it all back and finally got it back with correct engine number, and engine CC i asked if they could change the model to add V6 but they wouldnt lol
