I agree with Ash, save the money and go for an R26 if you can.

I did and haven't looked back, definitely worth the extra over the 225. I started out by test driving a few 225's and was very disappointed, as I was expecting good things. So I was reluctant about my decision of choosing to go for a Megane, that was until I tried an R26. The difference was amazing, there may not be much of an increase in power, but as others have said, it's the suspension changes that really make the difference.

Mine has recaro seats (do they all), nice seats buts they dont tilt forward so getting people in the back is a w**ker to say the least.

You must have dodgey seats, as mine tilt and slide forwards with no problems. Yes

Might be in contact soon about some work, if you fancy it? Nothing too major, just brake lines and maybe chopping out the centre box.

That's odd, mine don't even have a lever to make them tilt forward.

Yes mate, can do what ever you like. Just give us a bell when you are ready.

Cheers. Carl

Black R26 with a stage 2 remap (260-275 bhp) soon to be put back to standard and an uprated clutch and single mass flywheel instead of the DMF.

1 owner from new with all the correct maintenance carried out.

Year - 2007

Mileage - 61000

Price - £5500

It also comes with the standard bits and the 'tuning box' with the custom maps stored on it. Unfortunately I have to take it to RSTuning to have the standard map loaded back on as they have had to deactivate a warning light for the clutch.

I may go to stage 1. I wanted a completely standard car, but this has the clutch which will be staying.

It'll only cost like £50 to swap the map. I will techincally own the map still. Although I will more than likely sell the intercooler.

Great price and already stage 2!

Only reason I'd want to downgrade the power was if there was a noticeable torque steer issue. This would cost a fair bit to do and with that power, you're playing with the big boys! Sub 5s, d'you reckon?

Nah mid to low 5's no where near sub 5's though LOL

And leave it as it is,the chassis can handle 300 bhp easily

If i didn't have a 300 week commute i'd have a red R26 sitting on my drive right now Sad

This would cost a fair bit to do and with that power, achieving sub 6s, may be 5.5?

I'm more worried about popping a £2.5k engine. Because the clutch has been done, it should be reliable.

No idea on the 0-60 though. I guess that on stage 2, it'll be similar to what my 306 was probably a bit slower standard or stage 1.

RSTuning in Leeds (Convenient for me for follow up work as well). It will have, I called RSTuning up and they knew the car.
