Hi guys,

After a couple of months of faultless motoring, Peppin seems to be developing a bit of a fault.

Idle is solid right where it should be, and if you give it the beans it seems to move about right, but pulling off etc seems really lumpy.

I.e. it feels like you are towing something until about 2000rpm part throttle and then it all goes nice and smooth and drives great.

Also, when engine braking, seems to slow down gradually, and then all of a sudden, again at about 2000rpm, it feels like you've hit the brake pedal.

From what I can gather, (and I'm new to petrols!) it could be either the coolant temp sensor (green plug) or the throttle position sensor.

Anyone had this problem?

JP

lambda caused problems like this on a car I fixed the HG on, old unit had been steam cleaned to death by the failing engine!

I agree with Mei, sounds like a lambda on it's way out. Yes
