It's a good point, you could have rat urine anywhere in the car and this could carry the fatal disease Weil's disease.

It's a nasty disease which has mainly flu symptoms in the sufferer, but if it's not treated can end up being fatal. I get a lot of memos about this at work as I have a lot of dealing with rats being a lift engineer. Sad

Loving the passion you and Miss Kayay share... I guess not one to p**s on your fire is appropriate but either way if she's up for it you'll have to watch out for Stan.

Yes but it needs to be ingested or absorbed through sores or cuts for it to be contracted....

c**t!

Update I've caught nothing from the traps in the boot only mice in other traps around driveway.
The car hasn't moved since Christmas day so more than likely It got out the night I got home.
Anyway my landlord got the pest control out and they are in no doubt it was a rat as of the paw and tail trails it left as of the s**ts in my boot. He said I was lucky it didn't have a fit in the car trying to get out while I was driving.
And to top it off he found rat s**t on my wifes window screen! Maybe trying to find a way in that too.
It's been driving me mad these past few days knowing it's climbing about on the cars.
PLEASE NOTE MY NEXT UPDATE WILL HAVE A VIDEO IN HD! OF THE RAT BEING TORCHED ALIVE IF CATCHED ALIVE.

Rats are very intelligent creatures, obviously far brainier than your average pug lover Wink

It'll be getting in via the rear arch liner, above that up towards the rear lights there is a nice cosy hole stuffed with sound deadening. Above that there should be a plastic cover that blocks a hole. Which it will no doubt have eaten (if pug ever fitted it in the first place)

Can't you pinch next doors cat and leave that in the car for a few days??

This is true, although you will find that if the rat is hiding in this hole it will see your hand coming and then run the other way so it will run into the boot. Yes

Therefore, it's best to place a trap at the entrance point in the boot and then stick your hand up that hole and see what happens. To be honest though if the rat was making a nest in there you would be able to smell it a mile off as soon as you put your nose near the area. Wink
