my CAT has split and i am stuck here in Reading. Anyone in Reading or near by got one? And also can anyone help fitting it so i can go back to Bristol for new Years eve. When I say need help, I mean someone has to do it for me as I dont have a clue. I need the car done asap as need to get back to Bristol.

If anyone can help at all I will be forever grateful!

Cheers.

I bet. Don't try and pretend you wouldn't have done the same though.

Worth phoning local garages on the offchance? If not, PM anyone from here you know is local to you, they're more likely to check their email than be checking the forum today I'd imagine.

Have a read through the recent posts on here and check people's locations, I never pay any attention to them normally.

Do you have any kind of breakdown cover that'll take you home? Or a friend who does who could travel with you?

bas**rd. I do have one but geographically challenged. In fact I may make a guitar out of it this afternoon and sing you a love song to help cheer you up.

    just drive it.

My cat cracked when I was in Manchester a few years ago, I cruised all the way down the A49 to south wales with the gap getting bigger and bigger, it sounded absolutely mental at full chat Laugh my ass off

but i kept it to part throttle and under 2k so I didnt attract too much attention.

I've never had a cat go, but I've driven around with my fair share of exhausts hanging off, just don't go full throttle and it'll be fine.

    Noisy, but fine.

I'd pay £60 to not spend Christmas in Reading. Ear plugs are like 50p.

I meant just the cat, but entire exhaust system would be funnier.

How, the fact the cat is missing would make the exhaust nothing more than a dangling festive accessory LOL

Unless you have enough old toilet roll tubes to fill the gap, this probably isn't the best idea.

Well best of luck, I'm off to see the parents. Neither or in Reading nor with a catalytic converter, so I feel my help here will be limited.
