Also a sc car isnt as versatile either as u cant change boost levels etc. just look at the car world guys turbo cars ftw. sc cars are generally big engined german cars not small engined matchbox cars________________________________________ |

Also you can map the engine to give a nice linear tourque curve u can do wat u like with a turbo engine its all in the mapping ________________________________________ |

Makes me laugh how people assume bolting a big turbo on a car will make it wheelspin city because they assume all the boost comes in at once.I have been in tonnes of turbo fwd cars that have been built and mapped accordingly and they are progressively linear. And as for the two uk sc cars. They could have easily been bought from the uk, or just the kits, my sc kit went over seas, as did my engine. Oh... Just to chuck a spanner in the works, my high boost engine made 308bhp on a hub dyno the same as DP use. ________________________________________ Dimma + Gt35 turbo =![]() Solid rear beam mounts £130 07889376885 Dan |

the other thing to note is the basic kit you get with the SC set up from lynx is a generic map. If you had it tweaked and the fueling set up for each individual engine it would be a whole different scenario again.________________________________________ 205 GTIXsara HDI |

As Birk points out until several high boost cars are proven on known accurate dynos other than "Wayne's magical ones" as you said before then I'm not convinced of the figures really to be honest. Particularly having seen a few high boosts to be not a lot quicker than my well spec'd low boost. Was that 308bhp at the hubs or converted to at the fly figures? And as everyone says why not try decomping mine I may very well do that next year however may have to switch it to aftermarket management as no ones around to custom map the standard ecu AFAIK considering Wayne has left chip wizards. ________________________________________ Black power baby! My highboost car was mapped on Wayne's rollers, so not so much a generic file, my low boost on the other hand was a generic map but with a raised limiter and a different restrictive ring and that made 275bhp on two different rollers. The 308bhp was at the hubs, so I estimate it to be 340-350bhp at the fly. And it's not just one highboost that's not made the power it should have, it's now 3 according to Takedown. ________________________________________ Dimma + Gt35 turbo =![]() Solid rear beam mounts £130 07889376885 Dan |

Nice discussion, and its oke in this thread , since i self started it.One highboost was from of bought from the owner who sold/sells SC kits for the 306, from the UK, i dont know and havent asked what company. DP isnt talking smack about other peoples mapping/dyno/tuningskills, trust me thats not their style. He had 2 high boost on the rollers wich just didnt put out what they were told the engine had. The decompplate is not something they just made up because they found one lunatic to put their engine to the test to see what it can cope with. THere are numerous 350+ Peugeots here in Holland with only decompplate. My stockengine could be "safe" to around 480 he said with around 7500 rev , that same engine could do over 500 with E85, and could do 560 with forged engine and E85 In the workshop there was a 206 RC with GT3071R, max bhp output of that turbo (same as im using) is around 480/490, this RC was around 480 for already 4 years on this setup, now its forged and running E85 , because the owner wanted more power, and its in the final stages of around 580BHP now! I dont know what to expect, maybe ill get a call this week that the engine went kaboom, who knows, but fact is that there are a quite a few on decomplates only here who have zero problems for 3 years + on silly BHP output. Fact is why go forged if youre looking for around 350BHP, when the stock engine with a sandwichplate will take this night and day. Only thing different on my engine is and what is unknown to Pieter what it can cope with, is the shaved pistons to 8.0 compression. Fact is that my engine with a homemadedrunkstyleweldingskills and a nice mapping did easily 317bhp on 440cc injectors, and 317 was where they maxxed out. Well just have to see what happens, if it goes like almost everything during this project it will likely blow up, LOL! Ive got forged pistons and H-beam conrods in the closet, if the engine fails, i dont know what i will do, the motivation will be gone then for sure and maybe ill part it, or put it aside an build an engine this winter and have a go again after winter. For now i just want to have a drive and from the beginning ive said to myself 400BHP is minimal (maybe not smart i dont know) Well just have to wait and see |

Takedown wrote: I dont want to burst anyones bubble but the supposedly 450bhp sc was from the owner of the company who makes the kits, he wasnt even close to what he said he had. So you don't know what company the kits where from? I believe mechanical repairs has done a car or 2 for overseas and im not sure who he gets to map them but iv had one of his and one of lynx's and the lynx one was far more powerful, As for 450hp it would HAVE to be a c38 and not a c30-94 I own the 450hp sc from the owner who designed the kit and as far as I know the car is still in England and sat in my mates workshop The sc cars your referring to might not have anything what so ever to do with the lynx power engineering kit or chip wizard And again why would the owner/designer/manufacturer of the "450hp" 306 take it abroad to get it rr Im confused The kits your referring to could be lynx/spoox/mechanical repairs |

The previous owner didn't as i spoke to him earlier. The fact is I'm happy to admit that the turbo cars will make more power. I think that Ollie and i could quite happily get power runs done on our cars to find out wether they are making the correct power but to be fair its driving experience I'm after and thats all that really matters to me. Don't think that I'm not happy you can get the power with just a decompression plate and you're Turbo I would just feel much more sure with a nice forged engine. ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

Luckily forged engines dont go boom right? The supposedly 450 bhp SC 6, had 440cc injectors, and youll never get that much power from that small injectors. I dont know which kit that car had, ill ask Pieter next week. I aggree its what the car feels like, but i would be quite s**t that you PAY for a 450BHP car,and 440cc injectors are in there, that would do max +- 310 BHP @ 2.5 bar fuelpressure with 100% cycleduty. And what i dont understand, youre saying you never had it RRed? just assumed you got what you bought/what the kit advertised? And a funny thing is , i had a drive in the 106 turbo 2 weeks ago, wich assumed was on the 380bhp map, trust me when i say i got scared in it, and im used to serious powered cars. I was quite mental..... and i believed everything about it running @ 380, guess what, it was only running at the 320bhp map. So where are the dynographs of the high boost guys? Dont get me wrong im not starting a debate of what is better or whatever, everybody needs to do what they like best and be happy with it. You just cant advertise something with X, pay for X, and get Y assuming youve got X Aaah you get the picture |

Before we all get our panties in a twist, could we all just calm down a bit.For people that have s/c'd there cars or turbo'd there cars, as long as they are happy with them then who cares. Yes there might be a supposed 450bhp car with 440cc injectors but who ever built clearly should know better. Until takedown confirms who built the car, there really is no point in arguing with each other. If its a rich kit then maybe he had a off day, maybe someone else tampered with it long after it left rich. If its a spoox or mechanical repairs kit, who know whats been done. The company's probably built it right and some "edd china" wanabe had a go at changing things. Maybe someone had there car build high boost, took some bits off and sold it on. We have all seen it before. "For sale Gti 6 with cams" etc etc and then you get your ass handed to you by a 4x4 panda and find out some bugger removed them before you bought it.________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost![]() |

well you are though arent you lets be honest. To say where all the rr results for the high boost cars is doing just that.Dont play dumb, you are aware that 90%+ of the rotrexed supercharged gti6s have been most likely done by lynx and you are constantly trying to s**t stir or cause contoversy about it like you have some kind of chip on your shoulder. Fact is we know f**k all about any of these ones abroad that you are speaking about other than if they are running 2.5 bar of fuel pressure (which is less than a standard car) then they are clearly nothing to do with lynx as high boost use 4 bar pressure regulators and standard and low boost use 3 bar. No one on this forum gives a s**t about a s**tty spoox kit so lets keep to facts instead of speculation and chinese whispers. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |
