My clutch is dead Sad

Valeo the best to go for?

I'm also thinking it'll be worth doing a belt and pump and clutch on spare engine then swap>

do you know if the spare is a sweet runner and know much about its history? If so, could do it that way but tbh a belt and pump is a 1-1.5 hour job and clutchis probably 3-4 if your lucky. Engine out could be 2-3 then same back in so might be easier to just do it all on your current engine in the car.

I might call Mr. Poogeot tomorrow and see what discount he'll offer.

I'd love to have the time to do head gasket, seals, belts and clutch on a spare then put that in, but I don't have the time now. The clutch is *almost* dead, and trying to drive in snow with it slipping will be great

Peugeot do a valeo clutch kit for £130 on a return your old one basis. Normally for that they sell you a remanufactured one but so im told by my local parts store, no one has sent back their old clutches so they sell you new ones!

My guy wouldn't sell the exchange as he had a new one sat on the shelf.

ECP were happy to sell me a valeo kit Smile

Now going to order the drive shaft seals, but can't seem to find them on service box and the fork bushes, 217520 and 217521 (I think?)

Okay, so got my Valeo kit

    Will also order

    217520 Clutch Fork Bearing
    217521 Clutch Fork Bearing

    12728 Crankshaft Bearing Seal

    312146 Gear-box Seal
1608816780 Gear-box Seal (This is the new 312144)

    Any old gearbox oil

    Anything else whilst I'm on?

    Box oil from pug.

I have had no issue with Febi shaft seals from my local factors at £6.50 a PAIR, not the £30 odd+ a dealer wants.

Also I would only do the crank seals etc if they are leaking, you should really replace the flywheel bolts if you have that off, it is advised though many have re-used without issue, do threadlock and torque them though.
