Got a wee problem with the 205 gti-6, the car can't idle at the moment and it runs very rough below 4000rpm and fine at high revs, when cold it can idle but is lumpy as hell but soon as it gets some heat in it cuts out all the time, not to sure if these are two seperate problems.

Any thoughts?

May be idle control valve but is there any way to check this?

Have a look at your water and oil. That could be headgasket symptoms.

    Thanks, will have to dig the multimeter out and check a few things.


    I hope it's not the head gasket, no gunk on the oil filler cap anyways and it hasn't overheated.
