So was driving on friday and it felt like i had low tyre pressures as steering felt a bit vague also when turning it felt like the weight was shifting as though the tyres were low.

Checked pressures and all were fine. As i was getting home i had the window down and could hear a flapping as though i was driving on a flat. I think I've narrowed it down to driver's rear.

So far I've checked pressures and made sure all wheel bolts are tight (schoolboy errors avoided). I checked the fronts before i narrowed it down by jacking the front up and running it in gear.

Any tips on troubleshooting the back-end?

Is the beam quiet? No squeeks or knocks? Check for camber too.
If all looks well, get a garage to inspect the mounts.
You sure it ain't just s**t tires on a slippery road?

as said above-check for camber, if its been knackered for a while then youll notice that the inside

edge of the tyres will be abnormally worn. If you feel confident, jack up the rear and with a decent

length pry bar, see if you have any play in the trailing arm to cross member
