Also, I noticed another little gem yesterday. Mr jcphat offered up some advice, and got this reply from Ash, our ever-friendly führer:

Ironically my post was broadly supportive of the position where Admin is directly challenged by a mere member, still for a fiver it is worth it!

Yeah I read your post and to be honest I didn't know how it could be taken. There are so many sarcastic posts and ones where you need to read between the line that I think your post may have been misinterpreted? Dunno

Right, seriously, can everyone please just stop all this and remember that as (I believe) I am the only person to have been Member of the Month twice, that technically I am the most useful person on this forum.

    FACT.

Anyway, must dash. I'm off to McDonalds to demand a change to their burger recipe.

Keep up the pointless analogies, Stanley. They entertain me.

No, joined when in the throes of developing a modified cabrio, late ph 3 with 6 cams inlet and exhaust alloy pulleys eibach's and decent but heavy 180 brakes.

Moved on long ago having realised that old french cars are lots of fun and lots of work.
Still here because I still find people here entertaining and some of the projects astonishing.

I wouldn't do well with Twitter, you can only post 140 characters so I'd have to send roughly 400 tweets a time just to get my point across.

Yep, I suppose it is like that actually. Yes

Regardless, it won't change. As Owain has said before "we've had this debate a thousand times and we'll have it a thousand more" still nothing will change and everyone will still be here...

    So...

Owain is no longer banned, the edit function is no longer broken and Ash is still improving the site (the latest update being a 'Car now sold' checkbox on adverts so the OP can close their threads once their vehicle has been sold, before anyone asks). Therefore, I reckon it's time we all moved on and settled down as we were before. Thumbs up

We could always get back on that thread about removing the auto-lock feature?

Yes, this is currently being looked at and discussed by Admin so hopefully we will come up with a better solution to the problem soon. Thumbs up

I actually agree with you on this one mate, I'm not a fan either.

Or perhaps the other classic, the auto deletion 'feature'?

We could always dig up that thread about the guy with the things that hold the coil packs in place?

I'm just a little worried I'll be bored without this thread, that's all.
