Hey mates,

Any idea when fitting a lighten flywheel and crank pulley do you have to do any work on the crankshaft.

I just want an idea of the steps to take when fitting these parts so that I do the right thing.

Can piper double valve springs be fitted to my gti6 head? What will be difference as compared to the standard springs.

Thanks.

I have a lightened flywheel and lightened crank pulley and both are fine on a standard crank. As for valve springs, you don't need to upgrade them. I'm running over 450bhp on standard valve springs. Yes

Depends what you want to rev to, pistons and rods are the weak link before valve springs though.

What he said.
I think the standard ones are doubles anywho
The only thing you would even really NEED to consider would be the hydraulic lifters
But only if you are aiming for a high rev limit say above 8k in a track day/ race engine.
All the High boost lot dont bother as its only a consideration if you are hitting that all the time.

Yeah, if you're using over 8k on a regular basis then you should move to solid lifters really. Yes

The standard valve springs are doubles, yes.

Springs are suited to cam specs and not the other way around
