So based on the statement quoted, it appears you don't *want* the site to be re-designed, and yet later in the thread you're complaining because the homepage hasn't been updated since 2007 supposedly. At the end of the day, it's a forum. You can come here and discuss Peugeot related topics or anything else in the relevant section. As long as it performs this task (bar the current known editing issue) what else is there that a forum could do for *you*?

Well then by the same token, why aren't we all driving about in rickshaws? Why buy nice cars? Why buy decent clothes when dirty old rags will do? It doesn't *need* doing, in that it works - that doesn't mean it doesn't look like s**t, no wonder no-one signs up anymore.

Nothing *needs* doing (except the edit function), it'd just be nice to get something back for our money, as seemingly he's been less interested than ever now he's taking everyone's money, and yet laughed at me for even suggesting he hand the reigns to someone else, I know we've had this conversation a thousands times and we'll have it a thousand more, I just don't understand it.

Having the time is not an excuse, I make web pages and write software for a living, if he's capable of having written this entire site, it'll be literally a few seconds work to undo whatever f**kup he did that stopped the edit function working. No-one's saying he should commit his life to the cause out of the goodness of his heart, they're saying he should undo his f**kup which we paid him to do.

It only had a re-design last year Owain, how often do you want it done? Dunno

I think Owain was being sarcastic Stan.

I have contacted Ash regarding this problem, and I'm confident that he will have it resolved as soon as possible. Thumbs up

This is all fixed now Thumbs up

The above was written in the "Editing a post" thread on the 28th October 2012, so Ash is aware of the issue and has attempted to fix it once, believing that he had done so. Yes

I have contacted him this week, in case he was unaware that the issue had NOT been permanently fixed, and I'm confident that he will take another look and rectify it. Thumbs up

Whilst again I admire your optimism and dedication to the cause, I fear your trust is misplaced.

This forum needs more 'in your face' adverts that pop up when you try and post, everyone should have huge signatures with s**t pics of their s**t cars, and there should be crazy colours everywhere and lots of flashing lights and things.

Well, I guess all we can do is wait and see Owain. I would like to see this issue fixed for all you guys so I'm hopeful that we will see success soon. Smile

This site is a massive improvement compared to Club306. The numbers there have dwindled dramatically and most of the people on there no longer own 306's. I think the average daily attendance is 6.
So in all honesty i don't think we have to worry about this site looking old and boring (putting new members off) because in all honesty; it still has a higher new membership rate!

I'm not saying i dislike Club306, because i have been a member there for longer than this site. But they haven't had the time and energy to give the site the boost it needs. It's slowly digging itself a grave.

You may meet me one day, who knows? Dunno

To be honest, it's not really a case of being 'the nicest person in the world', I just feel that in all the years I've been on here, it is nice to give something back to the community which I've been an active part of for so long, and that's why I first applied for this role to try and achieve that goal. Smile

You should never have been let on in the first place, like a fart that's slipped in under the door no matter how careful you were to spray the air freshener and shut the door quick.
