Hi guys, just an interest thread really. My mate makes fibre glass panels etc for a living. He's recently managed to get hold of a mold for a 306 dimma kit. It's not just the kit though, its the roof, a, b, and c pillars, the floor pan. So its pretty much a whole car. So for anyone out there wanting to make a super light track car this would be perfect. It's even got a tunnel for the middle of the car for any rear wheel or 4 wheel drive conversions.

Obviously if it was just the kit which was wanted this would not be a problem.

This is not a for sale thread, cos.I have no idea on price, etc its just to help anyone out looking or with the idea of the kit, because.I know.they are very expensive from most places.

Any questions or.queries.is be happy to help.

Thanks.

This the kit off eBay??

If so I don't think it's a Dimma kit, it was sold as a set of moulds to go over a space frame chassis to look like a 306, hence the mould for the roof and tunnel.

The molds he has is literally the whole car, all panels, the roof, the floor pan, etc. But just the kit can be made from the molds. The molds he has all bolts together. And a whole 306 can.be made, which would attach to.a tubular chassis. You would need the front.end, ie, engine bay and strut towers. But its the main shell. Yes he can make bonnets, boot lids. Etc.

This sounds identical and I'm not sure on the dimensions but if I was him I'd be doing a lot of testing prior to selling anything to ensure it fits

The Dimma kit didn't have any differences on the a or b pillar, roof etc and was never sold as rear wheel drive

It's probably quite similar. The roof etc is all the same as normal 306, its just the archs and bumpers that different. Boot lid and bumpers are normal aswell.

I think there'd be a fair bit of interest in boots / bonnets if the price is good.

Sounds like the same kit that was on ebay to me! cant be 2 kits around like that, and this one ended the day before you posted this up?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fibreglass-production-moulds-National-Hotrod-Spedeworth-Peugeot-306-Race-Car-/321017652355?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4abe24a483

I did sound like a good idea but I had nowhere to put it, but was tempted to buy it.
