The retaining clip goes over the rubber bung on the window mechanism.

The grey clip attaches to the glass and makes it go up and down straight.

plastic goes on the trailing edge of the window, but used ones never stay on so buy a new one.

metal clip goes on the knobble that pokes through the glass on the lifting mech.

Wind the window down and look for the metal clip at the bottom of the window on the end of a rubber grommet. If it's not there - then I'd say it was that one that had fallen off.

I hate this part. My window is forever falling out! 4 garages later and myself trying to fix it has resulted in the window always shut and never opened cause its broke yet again! :@

If you replace the parts correctly I can't see how it would take 5 attempts.

    Are you using new parts?

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time
