Anyone had any experience of this make of pump before I buy one to fit at the same time as a Gates timing belt kit?

I haven't ever heard of them to be honest. No

Although personally when it comes to that sort of item I would always go for OEM, but that's just my preference.

I'm with stain on this. I would only go for a pug one.

I'd use any water pump but make sure you use a metal gasket Yes it will only be on for 30k so will last no problem till your next belt kit change Thumbs up

Oe pumps are usually very pricey Yes

For good reason. I had a GSF one fail very prematurely so I believe for the small amount extra it's worth it.

You say that Chris and usually I'd agree with you. However, having had a look at a new genuine pump and a new factors equivalent side by side there is a BIG difference in quality and for that reason I personally won't chance it. No

The gsf one had considerably smaller bearings in it. Apparently the SC motor factors pump is the same as the pug one. However, looks may be deceiving. I for one ain't willing to chance it. Pug stuff all the way. They ain't that much dearer. Smile
