hiya all...has anybody got any piccys of seat bars welded in place on their 6/rallye..... ________________________________________ deaf in 1 eye blind in 1 ear ......307 136bhp daily drive..... 306 rallye stripped out and charged..... lee_gti6 also known as "the tit"..... stan_306gti6 also known as "stan the dick"....... |

I sell new and used welding equipment in the Hampshire area. I take on welding jobs in the evenings, ally casting repairs are one of my specialities but I can weld pretty much anything. i was'nt knocking them jim, just saying they seem the most popular so i think thats me best option....i am looking for some bars to put in me rallye as the mounts i have are keeping the seats to high....________________________________________ deaf in 1 eye blind in 1 ear......307 136bhp daily drive..... 306 rallye stripped out and charged..... lee_gti6 also known as "the tit"..... stan_306gti6 also known as "stan the dick"....... |

Never said you were It certainly beats cutting tube, making brackets, threading holes etc. Only slight drawback is the cost, they're not exactly cheap, but then again what is these days? ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. chris they the motorsport-tools ones? very good kit if so  had them in mine. bit of faffing getting them in but well worth it. also moved my passenger seat ones about 3" further forward to allow decent clearance for battery behind the passenger seat________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

I went to a local steel supplier for mine, got the end plates cut 60x60x3mm and some 25mm or 1" dia mild steel tube. The proper kits are CDS but the supplier didn't have any in stock. I think I put a bit of detail in my project thread on how I did mine. Took a bit of effort to do but cost me less than a tenner from memory. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
