Just phoned my local Peugeot dealer, and asked for a price on a clutch cable for the 6.

He said there was a choice of 2 for my car when I gave him the reg, one at £49.92 and one and £49.87, and said he would need to look into it further. Also asked if mine was off my car to bring down, which it isn't.

Anybody have any idea what he means? Should there be a choice of two?

Don't trust my local dealer (previous dealings with getting things wrong), so don't want to be in the middle of fitting clutch cable and find it's the incorrect one.

Anyone have a part number? It's a lot easier giving them a part number!

Cheers Thumbs up

Looking on service box for mine it reckons the part number is 2150 T4, which is £49.87.

Might be worth getting someone else to confirm before ordering though. Smile

Just go to GSF, won't even cost you half that and they'll find you the right part Yes

This is a bad idea from experience. Yes

Pug may charge through the nose for a cable but the quality is so superior to cables supplied by a factor. I've found this out as have a few others from experience (i.e. they prematurely snapped). Wink

Well I've only ever bought one and it's fine, so that's 100% success in my book and there's nothing you can say to ruin that for me.

Agreed. Having a genuine pug cable makes the world of difference and they last much better. i got mine off ebay for £30 so probably cheaper than most motor factors.

no issues here with a GSF cable, it was an o.e brand, as was the last RCP one I fitted.

I've always avoided GSF cable's for that reason too, even on there good quality list it's 50/50 what you get,
The cable thou should be 2150T4, only 1 I;ve ever seen unless he's thinking of LHD

Looks like it will have to be a genuine Pug one anyway.

GSF don't list anything on their site. Just gave my local GSF a call, and when I gave my reg and it came up with a GTi-6, the guy on the phone immediately said 'I seem to remember something about the cables for these'.

Anyway, he said that is not a cable that GSF hold, so think it will have to be Pug!

Thanks for the part number guys Smile

I was just going to say my local ECP has an Eicher cable, plus you get 25% off online and I can collect in store making it £25.

Are the Eicher cables ok? Or is it worth paying pretty much double (£50) for a genuine Pug one like Stan and a few others suggest?
