Hello guys ,

just bought a nice GTI-6 for a daily driver + a bit of track use , 103k engine change @ 50k , full service history & its even got the original brochure with it ! Only a couple of bad points , seems to be using water and has either a sticky thermostat or no thermostat at all .. prob radiator as it looks wet down the bottom and theres something growing (calcite & green looking) out of the rad ! Or headgasket , either way no biggie really .

Just needs lowering , zorst + decat and maybe a set of fast road cams.

Heres my weekend toy

with a 2.5 Subaru flat four that i installed in the boot this summer Thumbs up

Wecome.

Where did you buy it from? It looks familiar.

If you get chance, pop the drivers door seal back and check the welds. A photo would help.

You probably wouldn't notice tbh. Was a decent repair on insurance according to Jack if this is the one. Would soon see with a photo of the welds down that B pillar on the door shut against the window.

You sir either live for the 6 or have a mental retardation to still be repairing this!

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.
