Okay, not life threatening...

But my seatbelt has totally jammed, and can't be pulled out to operate?

The last thing I did was to move the seat forward and back to load something in the back seat and now it's stuck!

I've tried moving the seat back and forward again, pulling gently and yanking on the f**ker!!

What can i do, i'm stuck out a friends house, with no tools and no (legal) way of getting home.

Also need to go to work tomorrow morning

Any ideas??

Regards
Dave

Yeah sort of...

The seatbelt was fully retracted as it was, so not really anything to feed back in?

I tried lowering the top bracket down an inch or two to allow me to feed more back in, but it's just gobbled it up and won't give any back...

i'm kinda stranded (but not really)

Hmmmm

Right, are you in any way able to take the cover off?

If so, give the seatbelt unit a whack, should knock the release bearing into place so you can at least drive safely.
Then as soon as you can get a new seatbelt to replace that one.

Not got a Bungee rope in the boot? Stretch across chest in the usual fashion.

Or, if your festively artistic perhaps make a cable tie chain.

Perhaps lay the drivers seat right back, sit up on the seat back and use the headrest to support your lower back as your stretch the rear seatbelt around your middle.

Sorry I can't help. Although count yourself lucky that you aren't stuck in the seat with the belt jammed in the buckle. "Can someone help me, I'm restrained in my seat and my waters have broken but I can't reach my Gingsters".

    Very good

It seems to have sorted itself on the journey back home, maybe was the way I parked the car??

    Probably just being French ...

It was probably the vibration and going over bumps which unseized the stuck bearing and allowed the seatbelt to operate properly again. Yes

I think this, I found it happens every so often if you park on the p**s.

Well the last thing I dad was bump it up a curb onto a grassy hilly area directly outside a friends house so I could load an office chair into it (I swear the 306 is the closest thing to a tardis!)

So it bumped over a rut or two before coming to rest at a funny side on angle on the side of a hill

Maybe enough to stick the belt bearing? And then it righted itself after driving off and levelling etc etc ...
