Hi all, my friend has a Clio 197 and has had the centre silencer removed and a straight pipe welded in its place. Its a stanndard system and I think it sounds awsome. More sporty and raspy. Has anyone done this to the stanndard setup on the gti6? Would it create the same/similar effect? Been looking for videos but cant find anyone thats done it.

Thanks, Tom

Yep thats the part! But I can get a local company to cut and weld me one for less than half of that fitted. More interested if anyone has done it or has any videos?

More interest if you can get the company to make one for me at a cheaper price! Big grin

Maybe if there is enough interest! But they just cut out the silencer and weld in a straight pipe. None of these fancy bends. But would that be a bad thing?

I'm probably going to get the pipe above as if the car is too loud for a track day, I can put it back in.

I got a custom exhaust place to make me a straight through centre section, identical to my Magnex one, just without the silencer. Think it cost me around £100 at the time...

That way, I can also swap pipes depending on the track etc/noise limit. Yes

Pretty much what I'm thinking Stan. Think I'm going to get a permanent decat though.

The place I got mine done was really good. Yes

It's called 'Zero Exhausts' in Ashford. One bloke on his own in a unit and he has all the equipment to make bends and stuff. He does a lot of exhaust work for the BTCC cars. Yes

Really recommend him. Thumbs up
