I reckon if I stripped it and got rid of all the bits and bobs I don't need, I could get it up to the 400bhp/tonne, but I like my interior too much. Yes

Hmm

Well if rumours are true the 208 gti will weigh in at about 975kg meaning it'll be around 200bhp/tonne which is a near as damn it e46 m3 terrortory.

The Autocar with the Rallye and focus st test says the 208gti will weigh 1100-ish kg. so it will have a better bhp/tonne than the Rallye but not m3 territory.

Not a lot really, as you can remove the AC at the same time as fitting. Yes

If that's it's weight then obviously not, I based my figures on early rumours about its weight. Still will be around the 180/tonne mark which is still pretty damn quick

I would have thought your car weighs even less than standard though stan
What with the wheels. Brakes. Flywheel no ac etc etc.
Im sure the sc kit isnt more than all that Smile

i think mine will also be around the standard weight, most likely a bit heavier.
The kit, charger, intercooler, oil coolers and swirl pot eg will probably weigh more than the air con system and spare wheel.

I was just curious on weight as i've already ditched as much as i can from my car, and was wondering how much weight an sc kit would add. LOL

Yes it was mine/Janes car they used, it will be on the TV in Feb 2013 so bloody ages to wait sadly!

VBH was great and was really nice to talk to, she loved the 306 GTi-6 and said it was one of her favourate cars!

The feature is about affordable Pininfarina designed cars, there is also a buying guide for each car.

They didnt use the cars on track, just used the location as a backdrop, but did drive the cars around the village so will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I think they may have built the cab, hence the badge but styled both?

I know they built the 205 CTi and styled the hatch.

Dont forget the lighter wheels and brakes though as well as the weight lost by the flywheel

I guess its personal preference, no offence intended Wink

Just doesnt look right imo, looks like it doesnt belong there, too big and oval!

Never really known what the truth is with this. If you look at the cab and the hatch, the front end is identical. Same interior and wheels, just the rear is different for obvious reasons.

The 406 coupe and saloon however don't share one panel from what I can see.

They didn't style the 205 or 306, just asked to create the cabriolets. It's in a download off the pininfarina website Smile
