Hello everyone !
Im not sure how to introduce myself i hope i chose the right fourm! I have been on this club before to get a set of cyclones for my 306 and found it very helpful! But now i need to ask for some opions if thats ok Smile
Firstly i would like to say hi to everyone ! My names Harry im 18 and i have wanted a 6 for too long now i really want one and join in with the group, im also a mechanic and would happily help people out Smile And im not just a boy racer in a little 1.4 its just the only one i could afford for the insurance !
Secondly I have a 2001 306 meridian and i want to sell it.
Thirdly i would like to buy a 6 same sort of age and around £1000 is that asking for too much ? im not really sure ? :S ive had a insurance quote and its acceptable so thats good !
Lastly i would like to do a few bits to the Gti6 so would be looking for some parts on here too and some advice what to do and what not to do
Thankyou for reading my post and i look foward to meeting all the gti6 enthusiasts !
Hope that doesn't sound to sucky uppy !

I have seen a couple of 6's round chelmsford as i work there but none of them come on here. Smile

If you do find a local one and you want some advice, give me a shout and i will come with you. I have had 4 of the bas**rd things and there are just certain thing you need to look out for LOL

That's f**king cheap!

I was 21, clean license, paying 900 for a 205 GTI 1.6 back in 2007.
Insurance ruins car fun in the UK.
Good on you for wanting a 6 though. The last mental Peugeot I think they made.
And yeah, there are things to check, but also be aware that, as with older cars, you probably want to give it a major service and replace a few parts, specifically suspension parts to keep it tight.

Have fun!

Great fun, except the 205, never had a fwd that's so grippy. steering is still quite heavy at speed, which I like.

Just was the gear box in 2nd and 3rd. they get a battering. does rip in 3rd though.

My upper strut mount bearings, rack boots and a few other bits were knackered, but as I said, that's age.

Be aware the ream beam, they seize and are a pain in the arse (apparently) to replace. not had the pleasure yet myself.

Give it a bit of speed into a speed hump and listen for the rear end creaking like an absolute b!tch. My mate's had gone and it was awful. there probably is a better way to test it though Big grin

don't kill yourself or lose your license tho. I just lost mine, they are quite revvy and like to gooooooooooooooo!

dunno, gotta go to court, but it'll be at least 12 months unless i can get a special hardship order so i dont lose my job Sad
Got caught doing 90 in a 60 3 weeks before so they're gonna throw the book at me.

Good job I didnt get caught further down the same 50 road doing 130. Slowed down for the time being. No more fines for me

I want to argue the toss, but I don't think they'll give a sh!t. Its just another speeding fine. There's a high top pick up and a getz right up my arse, so they must have been doing over a hundred on a bendy road. ITs almost impossible to overtake safely on that road. I mpossibly did over take them, but cant see it on the photo. Ill upload it tonight.
What were you driving at 109?!
