You can buy blanking plugs which look exactly like the brake nuts which fit on the end of a brake line except they don't have a hole in them. Wink

Also, don't forget that if you remove a system from a vehicle you must remove every single part of it for it to pass the MOT. So for example if you remove the ABS, you will need to take out the pump and ECU, the light from the dashboard and the wheel sensors. Technically, you should remove the wiring for said system also. Yes

It depends how fussy your MOT tester is. Wink

You will have a two port for abs

You will need to t the lines with one line going to a front wheel and the diagonal opposite rear wheel

There are two outlets.

I just ran one to the front wheels and one to the back wheels. You can't run them diagonally as you need the rears going through a bias valve or load compensator else they'll constantly lock up.

Doesn't matter which outlet goes to which, they're both the same.

As Stan says though, you have to remove absolutely everything, like I did. If you leave any components that aren't working it'll be a failure on the MOT.

Make sure you use proper bulkhead adaptors where necessary, don't take any risks with brake lines knocking against bodywork or anything.

Remember that once the ABS is gone it's gone, you have to destroy the pipework to get it out and you're not getting it back in. Think carefully before doing it, ABS is very useful in the wet, you'll punch yourself in the face if you remove it just for the sake of replacing the pump, only to lock up and write your car off into a tree.

Much easier to just fix it, more often than not will be a sensor, sometimes the main relay for the system or the main power feed.

All easy to test with a multimeter

but the bias has two inlets and two outlets so you can run them split

It's easy and useful to do and is the correct way to do things.

Guess so if you have a valve that has two, mine doesn't.

Either way it's still a bit of a kneejerk removing the ABS for the sake of fixing a fault.
