When I change these, I ensure I 'pop' the clip but still leave it attached. Then once both clips are done this way I gently slide the pipes off the filter and straight onto the new one. I get petrol on my hands this way, not my eyes! LOL

Bit of a thread revival but I am struggling with my aluminum screw fitting fuel filter fitted to my 306. Peugeot claim there was never one fitted like this and supplied me with a plastic one which is push on ends?
Any ideas where I get the screw on one from?

There is no 'screw on' filter, they are push type across all three phases of GTi-6. Yes

There is no mention in the thread of a fuel filter with 'screw on fittings' that i can see Dunno

Also i can't see how Stan is taking the p**s? Crazy He is simply stating a fact which would suggest that someone has bodged a screw on fuel filter on to your 6.

Can you post up some pics? We might be able to help more with a picture... thats if we can be arsed of course... Roll eyes

Crazy

I was simply stating that what you're talking about is not standard, therefore people here are unlikely to be able to help on the spot. More details and preferably pictures are what is needed here.

No need to get so up tight...Doh

Could the fuel filter be an uprated bosch item?

For reference (as I did a search hoping this thread would contain the code) fuel filter part number is 1567 C6 - £12.92 including VAT

Which was superseded by a newer code, but that one may get you the aluminium version.

Newer part number is 1567 93 - plastic.
