Why is it that some coloured 6's go for more than others? Blaze and niles seem to go for nxt to nothing yet a china will go for an extra £400-600? Is this just because of the rat saying how awesome china blue is?

Manstone is just bent /thread

Phase 2 and 3 Cherry 6's exist although not masses e.g rarer than the famed and dashed myth of 60 astors. Gazzerdaman has one.

I personaly would not mind a Nile or a Blaze but I usually find that those examples generally look well used/abused in adverts where as The China examples are probably the most cherished as a whole. Just look at all the China blue GTi6' on here all look look great and up together, well the ones i have seen. I am not biased even though I had a China as it was far from mint and i prefer Diablo. ^That is true, I have seen maybe 2 Phase 3 Cherry GTi6' and certainly more than 60 Astor...

I'll show you a comparison,...

Dirty Black,...

Astor!,... Hmmmmm,..

Which shimmers purple,.. spent ages trying to get that shot! LOL
Diablo Red and China also inherit this property too but doesn't show as apparent,..

the likes of Blaze and Niles were never made in ph3 so are a ph2's only color and there for older!
things like your China's and Moonstones Astor's etc were Ph3 and above only

ph1's were 1996-1997 not sure on that one though?
ph2's were 1997-1998
then there were ph2.5 which were old stock ph2 with some of the newer ph3 bits on them T plate 1999
then ph3 were V Plate 1999 - 2001

so really the price should reflect the age of the car not just it's paint code!
although as you can see Astor is much Sexier than just a Dirty old Black Razz

This is not true, I have a Nile and was offered £1,000,000 for it a couple of weeks back.

Naturally, I turned down the offer and will put it up for £1,000,050 on Pistonheads soon.

Most people in the UK seem to prefer metallic grey, black, silver or dark blue cars, if the mix on the roads is anything to go by. It just makes the roads look monochrome as everything blends into the grey road or grey sky. Or the black night.

When asked, people say "I chose it because of the better resale value". It is fashion - in the 90s there were more red cars, but not many at all these days.

On a sporty car on the other hand I prefer a solid (non-metallic) brighter colour, e.g. Cherry Red. But not Diablo for some reason, something about a metallic darker red it almost looks brown to me.

But I am clearly very much in the minority.

Sigma blue and China would be my fave metallic 306 colours.

I quite like Blaze Yellow tbh, a nice mint one is a lovely colour. As for Astor, yeah i've got one but wouldnt say it was the best thing since sliced bread. Id prefer a cherry red phase 3 but they are like rocking horse eggs.

My astor will be on the road next week its in the workshop to get rid of every little scratch chip and paint blemish. ASTOR grey or gun metal grey was the millennium colour. Smile twill be mint then, i love looking at it in funny lights for the purple shimmer is amazing!
