Mi16 is an engine from a 405 mi16 and similarly from a 306 s16 in two stages of tune

They are old hat now. The gti6 lump seems to be a tidier and more modern conversion

Be3 is the gearbox from the 306 and late 205's with reverse in the position of the 6th gear. With the exception of the Be3/6 which is the gti6 box. But still Be3

Get over to 205drivers and read read & read some more

I like the mi16 conversion. The 1.9 engine is lighter (all alloy engine) and suits the character of the 205 well, they are more revvy and realy have a lot of character as an engine. Fitting wise there is not much difference between the 2. Both need rad moving and exhaust manifold sorting. Any BE gearbox will fit both engines.

There's a couple of BE's that are different, BE4 as fitted to 206 etc, and the early BE1 without the TDC hole
