As above, when the engine is up to running temperature i get slight hesitation when plodding along. The performance of the car is in no way affected by this. Im drawn to it being a sensor and as discussed with my friend stuwee from here we think it could possibly be the ECU temp sensor.

When the engine is warm i can unplug the said sensor and nothing happens, and today i started the engine from cold with the sensor unplugged and again it ran fine Crazy I also unplugged it again today and it ran like a dog until i plugged it back in. Am i right in thinking its the ECU sensor and that it's working when it wants to or am i thinking towards the wrong sensor?

Yep, green temp sensor is what the ECU reads mate, the blue one is what the temp gauge uses. Wink

Would you say that is what could be causing the hesitation though Stan? I done a google search but what i came up with didnt satisfy me, as said in my first post it's not all the time and when i unplug the sensor it makes no difference.

I would say Matt that you possibly have a lambda showing its early signs of a imminent failure...
Best thing to do, unplug the lambda and go for a short drive, say 5-10 miles and see if there's a difference. If the problem disappears you need a new one. Wink
It's very easy to disconnect and won't cost you anything to try it out. Thumbs up

No problem. Thumbs up

It's a black and red 4-pin plug usually found down behind the ECU box. It is a "slide" fitment plug, you will need to pull the tab out of the side of the plug before the two parts will separate. Wink

So following on from this, I had the car put on DIAGNOSTIC at peugeot which came up with 02 sensor permanent fault. The said sensor has now been changed for a brand new item. The reading i now get from the 02 sensor on idle is 0.352 - 0.356MV is this the correct or there about corect reading?

It idles better for sure. Haven't really driven it yet as I've been looking after the boy today whilst the missus has a little break but I'm going to take it out this eve and put it through its paces.

The bogging down feeling appears to have gone low down in the rpms to. I'm guessing that's due to the correct amount of fuel/air being used.

Only took me 10 mins to install the new 02 sensor. Even though the original one was tight as Fook to undo.

Runs sweet as a nut Stan, much more responsive at any given RPM in the rev range. Even the smell from the exhaust is different. It still over fuels but nowhere near as much but i run a decat so that's to be expected.

All is well though brand new lambda FTW Thumbs up
