went to get my arse of a car plugged in again today with a snap on solus, wouldnt communicate.

tried pug planet with the right build code, wouldnt communicate.

the only one up til now that would is a bosch diagnostic which is showing lambda malfunction type 2.

got someone to have a look at it and he feels sure its an electrical fault.

if i dont get to the bottom of this issue soon, its getting broken. had enough now

ive left it with a garage to try and get to the bottom of it but its been made clear that i wont be paying for anything unless its sorted or the problem is at very least diagnosed accurately.

ive done continuity checks from the ecu pins to most of the sensors and they come back fine so the only real obvious solution is ecu itself.

thing is, everything else ive replaced seemed to be the logical solution at the time lol

Yeah but no one expects a fault to be something like that do they? I'd put money on it now tbh.
Sounds like its slowing on its way out

theyre now saying they want to try another full set of coil packs......apparently if its not that, they can just send them back to the supplier so wont cost me anything unless that is the fault so almost worth letting them try it just for grins.

i got a few pm's in reply to my wanted thread so early next week il most likely end up buying one.

they dont seem to be listening to what ive already checked/replaced tbh. just had to tell them again that i wont be paying xxx hours labour if they end up not being able to diagnose with certainty, and the guy at the counter said he doesnt expect me to so its all good il let them do what they like til they find it.

it does run, just idles like a sack of s**t and misfires once in a while at part throttle

As mentioned Rich_W will be able to supply you with a guaranteed unlocked ECU which won't relock itself, may be worth a go now as everything seems to point in that direction.

I would recommend continiuing all the discussion in this thread instead
http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=149789&page=2

As I have a feeling its all one big issue.

Going on what is in the above thread your fuel pump sounds a bit suspect tbh.
But as for why it doesnt communicate its all a bit messy...
