I need a pair of front shocks.

I'm struggling to get a pair of 306 ones, will Xsara VTS ones fit?

I can't imagine them being different, but the part numbers are not the same...

They are different lengths i think.
Im certain they arent the same.
The springs lower a gti6 25mm for example

does that mean they're shorter than 306 ones then?

Apparently its just the springs actually.

Athough i would be following what wleshpug says in that thread and using the shocks that are for a 306.
After all, whemn the VTS was released magazines and car reviews at the time seemed to think the 306 handled better.

Hmm.

Its an awkward one really, Ive currently got a mismatched set of old and new / genuine and pattern parts fitted. That Im not really that fond of.

Id like to fit the Eibach springs Ive got, and buy some B8s but funds are tight at the moment! This also means Id need to lower the rear to suit, and also change my insurance to a modified policy.

This just seemed a more sensible option to keep me going for a month or two, although after suffering a snapped spring, Id like to fit a pair of new standard springs if I went down the standard shocker route, for peace of mind really.

So, Ive got three options.

New pattern parts Springs and shockers £160ish
Buy standard shocks and fit eibach springs - £80, until I save up for the B8s
Or just bite the bullet and get the B8s - £300!...

Decisions, decisions...

Anyone know how much genuine Peugeot springs and shocks are?
