wanting to remove it to get in with a wire buff

two nuts and pull the whole thing off?? seen there is some o ring seal i seen on pug part gateway
i imagine i will have to replace this if it falls to bits?

can i leave the reservoir attached? less things I damage or upset the better Yes

anything else to look out for? i.e left over brake fluid going everywhere??

master cylinder is attached by the 2x 13mm nuts. the reservoir is pushed in using the little seals but also has a clip through it. should remove easily though apart from that (assuming you've removed brake lines)

what are you wire buffing?

if you want to remove servo it's a bigger job, and done from inside the pedal box inside the car

yup just two nuts, and of course the two brake pipes and fluid level sensor, there is a gasket but is usually reusable.

I've found a lot of servos rusting because of fluid running down then from the MC leaking. worth changing the MC seals (or MC complete) if the servo is rusty from fluid
