Hi all, i'm a regular on here but kinda lurk in the shadows and so am not well known by other members so if you don't know me already i'm tom by the way LOL

Anyways, i have a ph 3 china 6 and it has had head work done to it in the past due to signs of head gasket failure. i know for sure that it has had the head skimmed but don't know by how much Unsure I am intereseted in a change of cams but unsure of the correct way of getting this done without it all going wrong. currently i am considering the pug1off cat cams setup which they rave about on their website and it has proven good results, i would just like to hear what you guys think about this and if you have any recommendations/advice on what you would do? or what you would go for?

ideal spec: running around 190/195ish

cheerz in advance peeps

bodies and that's it without opening it up and enlarging valve cutouts, you can measure the head in place though to see how much was taken off, where was it done and what gasket was used?

Cams + remap = £700-£900 depending what cams and where you go, aprox 180-188 depending on engine health

Cams + ITB's + remap = about £2200- £3200 depending where you get them, this setup can see around 195-220

To reach the higher end of that mark more lairy cams need to be fittet with advanced timing machined pistons, tese can be done for £150-£250 mark depending on where you go

I quote from the cat cams website:

"Following on from the results below, Pug1off re-tested the 4903106 profile on another car just to check the results.
This time the engine already had a 'Piper' Inlet only camshaft and made 178bhp on RS Tuning's rolling road. After the initial test the cams were replaced with a pair of 4903106 Catcams and remapped to suit.
The final results are 193bhp with gains from 2000rpm over the previous setup!

The owner reports this has transformed the way the car drives

Back to back dyno testing on Northampton Motorsport’s dyno by Peugeot specialist Pug1off has shown (when used in conjunction with a suitable ECU remap) that the Cat Cams 4903106 profiles produce exceptional power gains, in this case 26 bhp.

Crucially, both power and torque are improved throughout the rev range, with a 17 lb.ft peak torque increase and 10-12 lb.ft extra at 4500 rpm, making this an ideal fast road upgrade.

During testing the peak power increased to 181 bhp at 7500 rpm, with over 175 bhp available from 6100 – 8000 rpm.

(NOTE: The stock car seemed down on power, producing 155 bhp but this could be as a result of the 145,000 mileage.)

As a result of the Cat Cams / Pug1off ECU remap package, peak torque increased to 150 lb.ft on the high mileage test car.

Available now from Cat Cams stockists, the 4903106 profiles for the XU10J4RS engine used in the

Peugeot 306 GTi-6 and Rallye are available now, priced at £486.00 including VAT."

VERY TEMPTED BY THIS with the results that are produced.....
