Hi guys my gear linkages have just recently decide after 15 years of service on my car that they no longer want to be involved with helping me change gear.

So here's the thing, due to them popping off they have chaffed the rubber ball that attaches to the sub frame, this now has a chunk missing from it making the gear stick feel very sloppy. My question is how much are they and does anyone know the part number for this item? Also I'll be changing the rods to, I saw a set of pug1offs website £38 any good?

Many thanks.

I'm sure someone can look this up for you on servicebox the ball comes with the triangular arm it's attached to. When you fit it put plenty of grease on Wink. On my diablo 6 i used to own the ball fell off before i got the car so wasnlike sturring porrige to change gear. I had a subframe from an xsi kicking about, found the arm is different length though so pulled the ball off and araldyted it onto my one lol. Never had any trouble till the day I sold the car.

I got the ball and bracket off someone on here for about a fiver, bit fiddly to fit but no harder than the linkages, if you're doing them anyway it's a no-brainer.

I've got a good used bracket here if you want it. Miles does gear rods which are good quality.

My friend off of here gave me a second hand ball a few months back, I found fitting was a doddle but it's literally fallen apart so will be getting one brand new me thinks. I will change the rods at the same time Smile

How much are the Miles ones? I found pug1off do the same rods and short shift for £55 all in.

He did a pugfest collection deal of £35. Have a look on his eBay store.

If there website is anything to go by with there Pic, (Pug1) a bit of threaded studding with some joints on can be done for around £15.00,

The rods I have made are Steel rod with rolled threads on either end and plated to the industry standard, Not the cheapest option but by far the best quality (Well I think)

Also over the next couple of months I will be rolling out left and right handed threaded ones so you can adjust them on the car which saves taking them off. So the old stock is being sold off at a reduced rate to clear

Q/S, Well I have a 306 with a Skip Brown or direct copy of one fitted and being completely honest I can change gear quicker with a std shift as it does not bulk due to the fact that the syncro hub's don't like the abuse.
Also goes with any 306 I have driven with a type of Q/S fitted the shift really does suffer for the worse

Miles what benefit would theses adjusting ones have? Is it just that they form a perfect fit so theres no give
    Or
Is it that they shorten the shift ??

just so that the gearstick can be put in the right place, they dont shorten the shift, but do remove a lot of the play which usually results in people thinking they need a short shift.

The 306 and later type Pug ones are pretty good for length unlike the 205 which vary allot which in turn makes the stick end up all over the place, Handy if you have a Race seat etc as you can adjust things if needed
