Hi,

I think it's a compbrake quickshift - basically it started becoming loose, figured it was the grub screws so tightened those at the weekend but turned out it wasn't.

Here's how it should sit:

Here's how it does sit & the movement:

Is it f**ked? Or does something just need to be done back up / re-attached.

Cheers

Ah, so likely that one has become loose?

How do I get to the one underneath? undo the four bolts?

I'm not good at cars at all, is it best to get a mechanic to do it?

jack it up, loosen the upper grub screw + slide stick down, position lower collar +secure in place, push back up and position upwer collar.

easy, no need to pay someone to do it.

Blob of mig weld on each collar stops this.

Poor design, I do sell these but not for 6's due to the lift reverse, Basically you really need new collar's machining up to stop this happening
