I recently fitted a set of 15inch Pro race 1.2's with 195/55/15 PE2's on.

If I compress the rear suspension enough over a dip in the road for example im getting a bit of rubbing on the rear arches on the outside which needs to be sorted.

My question is - shall i get this done properly by paying someone to do it with the correct tool - buy the tool and do it myself or do it the pikeyFarmer way by using a baseball bat to roll it flat or a hammer to tap the lip on the arches up and out of harms way?

you should not have any rubbing with the standard factory tyre size, there's something wrong there.

I had my arches rolled about 5 years ago not long after getting the 6 so the lions didn't rub and it was only last year when Pugjim pointed out both my wings and rear quarters have been rolled out as well as the lip curled in
I could never work out why there was always a 1/2 inch gap at the edge of the liner! LOL
Anyone else had that done?

Agree with WP, countless people have had those wheels on the car before with no issues, almost certainly your offset is wrong.

Don't fix the car to suit the wheels, it'll make any other wheels look s**t in the future Thumbs up

Well thats just typical isnt it. I bought these having being told they were direct fit?

wheels for sale thread

The wheels dont actually have an et stamped on them its missing on all the wheels, not erased just missing.

Ive had a look and any closer into the wheel arch and they will just rub on the inside of the arch instead. The wheels are slightly wider than cyclones anyway. Could it just be the case that everyone else is running 50 profile tyres with theirs?

they're usually 6.5 or 7" wide, ET often not there, though will be on the sticker if its still present, it'll be under the tyres.

being a 50 instead of 55 shouldn't make a difference if the width is constant, especially on wider wheels.

Yeah 7 inch wide I believe, just had a look underneath and its very tight on both sides to be fair. Those pe2 do hand over the edge of the wheel quite a bit?

I'm a seasoned pro not a newbieRazz. I fully rebuilt the beam a few years ago and recently had it on four wheel align which showed the nearside was perfectly aligned and the offside was out by 0.02 degrees or something.

Ok the code in matrix etching on one of the wheels is

5-2-57015 HT*
PS148142 e15

A pic showing wheel size.

Nearside wheelarch on the inside - vehicle on the ground.

Offside wheel arch on the inside vehicle on the ground.

Pics of how it looks from the outside.

The tyres overhang quite a bit what do you think?

clean behind your s**t guards, probably a lot of s**t behind them, use new clips, should sort it Smile

they're ET15 by the looks of it, miles of space to the outer arch.
