was wanting to do it braided but it seems to be a fortune
anything special i should be looking for? (or avoiding!!)

RichW told me i need short length of 10mm fuel hose (about 20cm), and roughly 6-8m of 8mm fuel hose

and has anyone got any pictures of the way they routed it all?

I get the feeling it is a tank off job no matter which way you do it. It looks like the four hoses in the 3rd pic down will feed through the gap left between the tank and filler pipe. Two of the lines will be from the fuel pump, the other two will join with the fuel lines under the car which go to the engine bay.

I will have to do mine slighty different as I have to run my fuel lines inside the car rather than underneath due to rally regs. I will have to use fuel level gauge cover as the entry point into the car and use some 90 deg alloy adaptors from torques.

Lynx did mine, I'm not 100% but looking at what goes where I would say it's easily possible with the tank in place. Yes

If anything you're just adding pipework to an existing system, you shouldn't need to drop the tank...

I'm planning on not using the pump in the tank as it is used to operating at pressure.
I've got a low pressure solid state pump to suck out of the tank & fill the swirl pot. Then I'm going to run a low pressure line from the swirl pot to where the high pressure pump will be under the bonnet. Then I will only need a relatively short length of high pressure pipe from the pump to the fuel rail.
I feel a lot safer having the longest length of pipe being low pressure!
Hope that makes senseDunno

Cool

Wayne, I've had no issues with running the std pump in the tank and running the Bosch one under the boot...Been fine for two years so far. Where are you planning on mounting the high pressure pump mate? Unsure

Sorry for the resurrection!
Staaan, I've just about finished buying all the bits & pieces for my fuel system, it will go like this....

Tank---filter---low pressure solid state pump---swirl pot---Scooby Sytec filter---HP Walboro pump---fuel rail---swirl pot---tank

I'm going to mount the Walboro pump somewhere on the offside inner wing on a proper welded bracket with a nice straight view of the fuel rail, I'm aiming for a 500mm max length of high pressure pipe.

I'll actually be updating my project thread soon!

Cool

Sounds interesting mate, you're going down a completely different route to what's already been done...

As with anything where you're concerned I expect a lot of thought has gone into it, so I am intrigued to see how it comes out mate. Thumbs up

I do actually like the idea of where you're planning to put the fuel pump, sounds very compact. Cool

Your right there I have given it a whole lot of thoughtLaugh my ass off

For me it's all about keeping the run of high pressure piping as short as possible.
Plus I have plans for the area where people put their swirl pot / HP pump assembliesWhistle

Cool

I was thinking of going down this route, but read somewhere that the Bosch 044s aren't great at 'sucking' the fuel, so I wasn't sure if the long run of low pressure pipe would affect performance Dunno

So I'm very interested to see if this is true

You need to use high pressure pipe throughout tbh, aka standard fuel injection rated hose, so where you stick the pumps is somewhat irrelevant.

I think he just means whether the fuel is under high or low pressure, not the actual house used?
