Just a bit of a query really, my alarm siren works perfectly fine, makes sound and everything

Since i have owned the car, i have always had to lock the car with the key in the door and never locked the car from the keyfob.

I can unlock the car on the keyfob fine.

Whenever i lock the car on the keyfob i give it maybe a minute before the alarm makes itself heard!
It doesnt always do this, i have locked it on keyfob a few times in my 1.5year ownership where it locked and stayed quiet.

What is the likely cause of this? Faulty ultrasonic sensors? They look fine to me...i dont understand how they could be damaged.

Just wondering really if there is anything i can do to sort it? Maybe they need a clean?

Ive not really tried turning them off as dont they come on again the next time you use the car?

Its just a pain pressing that each time just so i can lock it from the fob!

Good thread that. Its a phase 3 so i cant just replace the ultrasonics easily but RichE has said i can unplug the ultrasonic driver behind the fuse box to permanently disable ultrasonics, i'll be so happy if this works
