No way. A healthy engine will pull away from 20mph with part throttle with no misfiring or issues let alone 40mph.

not in 6th LOL:

All 3 of my 306s rolled smoothly in gear at 20 and would pull away slowly without juddering etc....

Rolling in gear in traffic? Because letting the vehicle settle at a stable idle and allowing it to creep along is totally fine and normal as long as it isn't juddering and having issues with the gear being too high.

If you don't use any throttle every 306 gti6 I've driven will happily settle at a stable idle in 6th, and this is somewhere around or just above 20mph. A slight input of throttle to slightly raise the revs to creepy slightly faster causes no issues either. If you continue to raise the revs slowly it will pull away like this. I don't typically pull away from idle in 6th but it can and will without the juddering typical of you demanding too much torque in too high a gear with low revs.

And indeed mine also just tried it although she said she would prefer if i stopped
I only put the comment on as to be doing this in 6th at at no other time sounded like an attempt at steady take off from to low a speed and to high a gear they dont like it even if they can do it
