Hi guys,

Bought playboyb's TD pro race 1.2's a few weeks back and finally fitted them today Smile
The wheels were in pretty good condition with a few little scrapes around a couple of the rims.

Got them home, gave them a good wash with billberry wheel cleaner, then clayed, cut, polished, and sealed and they came up nice and shiney Smile

I also touched in the kerbing marks as there was only a little bit so am not spending more money on a refurb as they are not too bad at all.

Bought some new tyres and fitted just the rears atm as the front pirelli's still have some life left in them.
Then bought new spigot rings, Mcgard locking bolts, and soaked the wheel bolts in vinegar for a few days to get rid of the rust Smile

I think they came up quite well...

Wheels are the same size as my old Compomotive MO6's which were 16 x 7
I bolted them all on this afternoon and all is good Smile

It's been a while since I had silver wheels so fancied a change... again LOL

I'm really pleased with them and been meaning to get some 1.2's for ages, especially in black but everyone seems to have them in black these days! LOL

Looks really smart on the silver wheels, even though i have them, i agree everyone does black pro race nice to see silver. Smile

Personally, i would go with the standard headlights as they would match the wheels better than thr black imoSmile

Love these wheels Yes

Because you have black lights the wheels do not look right in silver so i agree with above. Standard lights to match the silver or leave the lights but you'll need the wheels black if you do that IMO.

Anyway these pics are the first I've seen of you car, what do we call it ....... Phase 1.5? LOL

I know what you mean about the lights guys.
I don't think it looks bad but I think the original lights would suit the silver better Smile
I don't need good headlights atm with longer days so I might just pop the originals back on soon as I still like the look of the originals, shame that a candle lights the way better than the original headlights, and that's with Osram night breakers LOL

1.5 seem pretty apt I think lol
Phase 1 body, phase 2 rear lights, phase 3 rub strips, phase chav headlights LOL

I bought an adapter loom for the 306, the ones used on lexarse lights LOL
Only cost £10 and much easier than hacking up the existing wiring Smile

Cheers guys Smile
I am going to swap the lights over tomorrow if I get the chance and won't take long Smile
And yes Jon, a full on phase 3 would be good but then again I still like the phase 1.5 look LOL

The car is dropped 30mm all btw.
It would look better with 40mm on the front to even things out looks wise but want to keep the balance as close to standard and dropped it evenly all round Smile

Will get a few more pics up when the lights are sorted Thumbs up

thanks guys and they will be looked after and kept away from kerbs if I can help it Smile
Still have not changed the lights over yet as not had time yet.
Yesterday was the first free day I had to do stuff but that involved sorting out the front brakes, changing the droplinks, and fitting a new clutch cable.
Lights will be done soon as well and also looking at getting a new screen fitted as the original is looking a bit battered now! LOL

Really like it, fantastic paintwork. Agreed it looks a tiny bit nose-up though. I definitely wouldn't P3 the front, I like the look of a really tidy P1 and there aren't that many around these days so they are something a bit different.

Is P1 OE light output really that cr@p? Maybe a way to de-chav those lights could be to paint/wrap the inside bits silver to make them look more subtle, maybe a bit like a P1 would look if OE crystal P1 lights existed. Or maybe I'm talking bollox.

Those wheels are superb, I'm suprised Sam sold them on as IMHO they look way better than the 17" Superleggeras he has on the SC China now. Glad to see they found their way onto another tidy motor and one more vote from me for standard lights. Maybe a standard grille badge too? Sweet car though, good to se a phase one in such tidy condition.

Just not a fan of 17"s, they just that little bit too big to suit, I only have them on the race car for brake clearance and as tyre availability is better. As you say each to their own though, was it good up the hill? Cool
