So has no one worked out a fix for this stalling issue? (apart from changing how you drive etc) Sounds like a massive negative for the conversion if it causes stalling not to mention looking pretty stupid when stopping at lights etc.

Mine is solved, by connecting up these pins in the connector that goes on the aircon and turning the aircon permanently (obviously I no longer have aircon) on it raises the idle slightly and stops the car from stalling, it also turns on the fans at low speed, however my fans are controlled by an aftermarket controller so only come on at a set temperature, I also have a lightened flywheel which makes the stalling worse but I have no stalling problems with this little simple mod

Mines really bad even now it's got full hard pipework all through. Often the first time of starting the car it won't idle and will cut out as soon as the revs drop. Though I do have lightened flywheel and crank pulley as well as other running issues wih it so could be contributing to the problem. Got a spare ICV so will put that on and reset the ecu.

Sounds like a good plan, as thats just a standard icv issue all over, Mine non supercharged one used to do the same

The ECU on mine states its version 2 which i presume is an old one as its 3 years old? Have asked Rich W but awaiting response.

This is true of the ICV but it was fine befre being charged. but maybe now its on its way out so having to controll the vaccume in all the boost pipework as well has shown it up. will see later if it isnt p**sing it down after work Wink

Must say that i seem to not notice mine stalling as much as i used to, so don't know weather i have just got used to it now or it seems to have got better.

I do run the bigger intercooler/ pipe work, with a lighten Rich W fly wheel.

The reason for the stalling occuring is down to the workload the ICV now has to undertake. Wink

It's a bit like asking a Ford Fiesta engine to power a Ford Fiesta and then asking it to power a 747 and wondering why it can't...Peugeot selected the ICV which was up to the job and suitable for use with their engine design...they didn't factor in that someone might decide to supercharge it one day...LOL

People who have the latest maps on their ECUs should see a marked improvement over the older maps as Chipwizards made some changes to the map to combat this issue whereby they mapped the injectors to cut back in around 1100rpm on the over-run to stop the engine falling from midrange rpm to a stalled state and it seemed to make a noticeable difference. Yes

With the setup myself and Andy run, we no longer use an ICV so have no risk of developing this stalling issue. Wink

yes the updated map pretty much fixed mine but the best fix by far is to whack a
C38 on there.

There is a 20x14 map controlling the idle using ignition advance Smile

Seem to have sorted my running issue but stalling issue still remains. Sometimes it's fine you could drop the revs from anywhere and it will hold strong idle fine other times I'll start the car, it'll rev up and cut out again then start it again and it's fine. Will try the other ICV I have now the spluttering is sorted.

This is really the only way to cure the issue by getting a map done for your individual car. Yes, it'll cost but you'll end up with the best result at the finish. Yes

Yeh was thinking about it eventually as my exhaust still creates flat spots around 3k even now it's boosted so wants a custom map anyway. Probs wanna upgrade the intercooler and pipework first though. How much does Wayne charge for a custom map?
