If you are patient you could actually wind that spring over the new hose quite easily. And weight saving is cumulative, getting rid of anything, no matter how small adds to the overall effect :p

Yeah I was thinking that but it would still Be better to have the rubber there to hold it in place, maybe I could cut it and then use some self amalgamating tape around it after its fitted, I'm still thinking About it, this hobby doesn't just keep you busy when driving or getting the spanners around it, I spend a lot of time thinking and planning my next changes.
yep I suppose the only way to save weight is to think lots of small bits rather than single heavy objects which there isn't many you can lose anyway.

Superglue joins rubber back together very nicely indeed. We use it to make specific length O-rings and it works a treat.

I'll give that a go, did you say the rubber that goes around the flexi and that fits in the retaining bracket needa to be solid and not loose, can this be glued to the flexi? It was like that before and it didn't slide around in the rubber although it looks looser now.

It didnt move because the spring was inside it, if you go without the spring the pipe will be a loose fit and needs securing somehow. I like to use stainless P-Clips with a nice rubber insert personally.

Ill use these new lines as they are better because the fitting spins
On it where as its fixed on the other.
I've done what you said and cut the rubber down eg but I think it would
Be better as you said with a rubber inserted p clip,

My new lines with rubber and spring fitted:

The rubber is glued to the nut also so spins with it, i had to take one apart as id glued the fitting and it wouldn't spin or move up and down Doh
I think I may use a p clip eventually, see how the superglue
Holds it.
what size p clip do you use Jim?
Noob question I know Doh

Or are they both done together? If so which one should be closed first if it matters?

It's the same type of clip. I'm not sure if it's the same size or not though.

The rear brake clips are right, actually there much better than the ones supplied as theee thicker and the supplied one has snapped, Im off to order another pug one on Monday.

All I need to do now is bleed them up, which bleed point on the caliper out of the 2 should I attack first?
