Hi guys,

Just wondering if any other members who run pro race 1.2's can tell me what locking bolts they are using and a part number if possible.

I just got some in 16 x 7 direct pug fitment and not using spacers.
The bolt holes are quite deep so I don't think regular lockers will work as the key would be too big to fit in the wheel hole when trying to tighten the locking bolt.

The standard bolts i got with the wheels are fine which are 17mm head tuner bolts which use an extention key for fitting/removing the bolts which are fine to use but would like a set of lockers if possible.

I know that the bolts need to be tapered and are M12 x 1.25

Mcgard do tuner locking bolts and not sure what will fit and also wondering if anyone has fitted standard locking bolts and which ones.

Any help is appreciated guys Smile

I use this type of tuner boltThumbs up

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-x-ALLOY-WHEEL-TUNER-BOLTS-PEUGEOT-206-207-207GTI-207CC-306-307-307CC-M12X1-25-/130679261473?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item1e6d174921

Internal drive keeps tools/sockets away from your alloys, easy to scuff Pro-Race 1.2'S with a socketYes

Hi mate, yes they are the bolts I have with the wheels Thumbs up
Just wondering if I can get locking bolts like that or not.
Mcgard do similar tuner locking bolts but not sure if it comes with the extended key as the key states it has a 19mm head which is fine if the key comes out far enough from the bolt holes.
I assume that it would but just trying to be sure Smile

I don't use lockers, due to the fact the key for the tuner bolts is not a common thing for pikeys to have, like a socket etc!!!!Wink

But should fit some I suppose, will keep an eye on thisThumbs up

That's what I was thinking and they will probably be fine.
Although knowing my luck, I will find a posh pikey that has the key! LOL

I run some black bolts with mine with a head like these and when I told the insurance each bolt needed a key they classed them as locking wheel nuts.

I can't be bothered with locking bolts after a key snapped on me and I've never had any problems with similar style bolts to the ones linked above in the ~2yrs they have been ran for.

They might do the trick in having one on each wheel so there are a couple of different fittings in place.
These are the Mcgard tuner bolt I was looking into, don't like the price so much though Sad

I used Mcgard lockers on my MO6's and they were the best lockers I have ever used by far.
I ordered some Mcgard 27196su bolts last night, the same as I linked to, but found them for £30 on egay Smile

Just waiting on a pair of front tyres and will fit the wheels next week all being well Smile

The wheels are playboyb's old ones, and I have spent the last few evenings giving them a bit of tlc and they look pretty tidy apart from a few scuffs around the rims...

Smile

Got the locking bolts today and all looks good.
Got them from egay store from Elite direct, they even sent me a locking key pouch which is usually not included for nothing so happy with that Smile
£30 is a good price too as Halfauds sell them for £50

Bought some new spigot rings for the sakes of it and touched in the scuffs as well, and cleaned up the wheel hub faces as well.

Tyres came today which I bought off egay which are part worn Pirelli p zero's and they are pretty much fooked Sad
Bought two part worns with 5mm of tread. The tread is fine but the tyres are around 6 years old and are cracking quite a bit around the side walls, so am taking them back to the seller as he's only 20 minutes away from me.
He has already agree'd to refund me so not a problem.

Think I will just buy two new tyres for the front now instead of messing about with used tyres, and usually always buy new Smile
