A bit of a long shot, but if anyone can help great.

I am looking to have an LED to show the heated windows are working, my question is on the timer relays, do the switching contacts stay connected during the timed session, IE will they draw a current to illuminate the LED.

Cheers

I have brought 2 for the front, but I have no way of using the standard switch and I am rewiring the whole car.

Can you not just run a resistor and LED in parallel to the screen from the relay?

With mine i havent bothered with a timer i'm just using a rocker switch with a little LED built in so it will stay illuminated whilst the screen is being heated.

Im not sure if im missing something here but why not just run the LED off the switched cable that goes to the screen?

Doh

Didn't realise that...I'm guessing it's for demisting etc as the Ministry of Transport see it as a safety issue in regard to visibility?

yeah one of the MOT rules is you must have a way to demised the windows.

Maybe I could turn up with a squidgy LOL but this seems the easiest option, plus in the winter will be so handy
