It's only 20mm, sure a hammer will sort it.

Bit of a plan B going on atm, see if I can get it to clear the bonnet props on Ph1's without having to tap the bonnet bracket with a hammer....

Have you tried this brace on a GTI6/VTS? The closest to the brace on my car is the cam belt cover, which seem to be a tiny bit different shape from that on a MI16.

For all you people that show love and devotion to your ECU covers:

However, Ph1 owners may still have to fettle the bonnet stay pivot slightly, seem to vary from car to car.

No, but there's feckloads of room under the cam cover side, it should fit, next trick is to find a local '6 to stick it on LOL

it seems like my cam cover is way more up! Unsure Will wait how does it fit onto a 6, and if it does I would have to check my engine mounts LOL

I would check the spacing of the top mount bolts Tibi, cannot guarantee that the 306 is the same....

I know the ZX has the same subframe wishbones balljoints and hubs, but the strut tops are 20mm closer together!

more camber Wink

does it mean that it doesn't go to positive camber quite as soon as a 306 does? when the suspension compresses?

Not so much, has more weight transfer at the front by a small margin, so possibly a touch less outright grip, but sharper turn in and less roll. Not a huge difference tbh.

Loads of room around the belt cover.

But it touches the rocker cover breather outlet Doh
