Well I've been lurking around here for the past 3 or 4yrs so some of you may recognise the name though that's mainly been through the for sale/wanted section but I've finally got some decent pictures of my car so may as well introduce myself properly!

I did lose interest in the car a bit but I did my first trackday in it earlier this year and well and truely got the bug back now!! The car is pretty much standard bar a skidded magnex/pug sport 'zorst, set of miles gear linkages, K&N pannel filter, lowered on Eibachs and a quick shift was supposedly fitted when I got it though never driven without one so couldn't say for sure. Also done some aesthetic mods, I know some of the purist may not like it as it's a Rallye but I've kept it originalish just updated the rub strips and headlights and then colour coded the spoiler and fuel flap covers.

Not really got much plans, just try and keep it tip top and maybe a bit more fast road spec. Would love to go SC with a big brake kit to lose some unsprung weight but we'll have to see how next season accumulators go for that!!

Anyways, enough talking as pictures say 1000 words and here are a few from my day a Curborough ealier this year. Wasn't the day through here but a private one with a few people I work with but I thought it was a great little track and was a bargain for a taster into track days!

Cheers peeps. Helmet wasn't necessary for the day which was one of the things I liked as I haven't got one and that hat rarely comes off anyway bar work!!

The car is probs a tad high at the front though probs a bit low at the back too but I may have sourced myself some yellow billies so that may change soon. Also had a shagged rear beam for then too or that may have been what finally killed it so will be looking forward to getting out on the track again since Carl sorted it for me.

Thanks though as I am a long time reader so thought it best to introduce myself!

Cheers Smile

Chris - Nah not me bud as I'm a bit further north in Leicester!

Matt - Nice one and I like them as I feel it gives it a more up to date look - some carbon trim would be nice but that is on the long list of to do things. I just read the first 10 or so pages of your thread yesterday and I've really be inspired by that to try and give it a bit of a restore as the work you did on the rear was amazing Thumbs up

I'm not too sure on the yellow calipers and if you wanna get rid of some unsprung weight, change your wheels for some lightweight goodies Smile

Cheers guys. Yellow calipers is a bit marmite I guess but wanted something different from red but also keeping with the rallye colours.

I've got some pro race 1.2s on it currently but they need a refurb and lightweight pulleys are on the list but just going to wait for another 5k miles or so as that is when the belts need doing anyway. Just seem to be decent, effective mods from my reading time on here which is why I'd like to go down that route.

Curborough is fun, but its a long way from a proper trackday imo.
Glad its got your interest again though and remember to have fun, no point modifying it if you don't drive it and enjoy it!Thumbs up

Cheers Adam, I really enjoyed it there though would be good to get on a propper curcuit and do some laps as we were just using the sprint track which was only taking ~40 secs per sprint.

Hopefully an evening session may be in order over the summer at a local track to me like Donnington, Mallory or Rockingham, club track day sounds really good but Oulton is a bit far for me so may have to give that a miss but would be good to put a few faces/cars to names on here!
