Below are a few pictures of the Rallye I purchased just under a week ago, the body work is in near mint condition with the only major annoyance being the spoiler damage and a slight scratch on the back right wing (will be easily removed when this poxy weather picks up!).
As you can see from the pictures the wheels are brand new Team Dynamics (racing) fitted with equally new Yokohoma tyres (even the spare is matching rim and tyre) also the exhaust is a full Scorpion system, the clutch has just been replaced along with new gti cams a new cambelt and a nice shiny new radiator.
Im hoping that wednesdays weather is good and il be under the bonnet giving everything a good clean up as its in a right old mess currently... will post before and after pictures when work is done.
Im also hoping to have had the rims painted black and the calipers red by the end of the month, more pictures to follow when thats all been taken care of, however not too sure if the calipers could look better in black?? suggestions??
Hope im doing the car justice eh Wink ....

Cheers aaron Big grin The pics are after a big wash and wax job, should have seen it before... looked like it had never seen clean water! Engine bay is going to be a nightmare. Obviously the licence plate will not be in the windshield for long, need to get a new one sorted due to a huge crack that just looks nasty :/
Red calipers are the way eh Razz with the rims as they are or black like im thinking? opinions welcome...

Possibly yellow would look alright. Take a side on photo and ask in the general section for someone to photoshop some different colors. Wink

Hi all, I'm sure this question has been answered already in various threads but coming from a total newbie point of you im hoping for a more detailed answer lol. Iv read already that the best air filter mod would be to replace the existing filter with a k&n but to still house it in the original standard box, which makes sense to me as the issues of taking in water etc are something I'm not too keen on! Can anyone inform me of the best route to go down in replacing the filter, ie an actual link to the correct type/style of filter needed and any other information I may need with regards to things I need to avoid/be wary of....
Many thanks Smile Ross

I have no idea tbh, it's in the service history :S being a newbie to all this I thought they might have been uprated to gti cams but from you're post I'm thinking I'm wrong? Lol
