Firstly like to say a massive thanks to Carl, this turned out to be not quite as simple as first thought due to some technical difficulties... and I believe was quite the burden for a few weeks. LOL

And to the guys at Northampton Motorsport not that I imagine they will see this thread but yeah Thumbs up

Anyways a few photos of my recently purchased throttlebodies from Andy (yippiekayay)

Only downside is the sound is slightly addictive... And this doesn't go down to well with wallet Whistle

I saw this phase 1 at Carl's a few weeks ago. very clean car, but was looking a little messy under the bonnet

what is the outcome of having them set up properly?

Cheers guys Smile The outcome on paper was 182bhp which im pretty pleased with as she was bound to have lost a few here and there. But more importantly it has shed a lot of weight with the removal of the aircon and other stuff. Over all it just feels more responsive and as I said before, the noise Big grin

Yes the car on the right is mk5 fiesta Zetec, however it has a 1.7 Puma engine and yes it is rather low LOL

Chris, I had the cambelt and a few other things done at Carl's as well so after everything it would have been around the 2.5 region Thumbs up Plus good to see you back on here mate, not that I really get on here that much myself...

I've been considering the length of the trumpets and I must say I feel inclined to agree Smile

P.S ...Phase 2 Wink

182 is pretty spot on for a bolt on setup like that on a good engine Thumbs up

trumpets should help with torque Wink did you get a figure for that?

Ah well then that's definitely on my list then Smile What sort of length would you suggest?

Yeah 154 but the curve wasn't really as smooth as i'd have liked.

Chadil Smile

looks to be a little longer than the Longman/jenvey one, but still not an ideal angle/length to get a decent inlet total length.

Just from looking I think you could do with at least another 2-3" on that inlet tract length with longer trumpets, what's the exact length atm?

As said around the right figure, the old Chadli manifolds are the entry level manifold and not that well used over here,
Need to sort your breather pipes out unless its a work in progress pic & and why is there a bolt in the vacume pump,
One tip on the coil pack, it's easier to use a XSI coil pack, no HT leads to worry about and plug's straight in to the ECU

To be honest guys this is all very new to me so I'm not too sure on the details, I bought the lot from andy and Northampton Motorsport did all the wiring and such. What did confuse me a bit is the car is now running completely on the omex ecu and they removed the original one... I was under the impression that both we're ran and just worked together... Dunno

As far as the bolt in the vacuum pump... That was Northampton too? What would you suggest as I really don't know LOL

The breather pipes are a work in progress but again any suggestions as to what to do with them would also greatly appreciated Smile

Yeah, the omex should run everything, no need for the standard ecu. There has probably been an air temp or MAP sensor hose connector attached where the bolt is. It shouldn't matter too much, just open the bodies, look down the inlet tract and make sure there isn't any thread poking out into the tract as that certainly isn't going to do your airflow any favours.

With the breather, fit the original block breather back on, you will have to fit it to the other connection on the head as it won't fit on the original one (the rhs one rather than lhs, looking at it), then connect the lhs head connector to a catch tank or a mini filter or just let it dangle!

I remember the first bloke to have throttle bodies on here, he had a really similar user name to you too!

Yeah at the moment the rhs one is just open as it is in the pictures and I have just placed a bit of hose on the lhs to direct any oil splatter that was hitting the underside of the bonnet downwards... So if I put the old block breather onto the rhs one now you say that will be fine?

And thanks for the advice Smile

Looks like the bolt has just been used to blank off the vacuum pipe that would have been connected to the standard inlet manifold Dunno
